Ok, I know I promised lots of updates. But, work has turned out to be crazy these past couple weeks, so I haven't had the chance (or the will at home) to update. Here is a quick one though that I wanted to throw out there quick.
If you have always wanted a real life replica of your WoW character custom-made... well, now you can. FigurePrints.com is a site that creates custom figures of your WoW character, complete with all the gear you currently have on, in any pose you want. You just have to give them your character name/server, and they do it for you (no account info is exchanged as far as I know).
I found this particularly interesting because they use a rapid-prototyping process to create the characters. This is a process used by the manufacturing industry to create to-scale mockups, well, rapidly, using plastics and other materials. Seems like industry has answered the prayers of manchildren everywhere. They are a bit pricey at $130, so pretty much only the most self-absorbed WoW player with nothing better to spend his (or her?) money on will pay for this, but I still thought it was pretty neat.
